Turks & Caicos

Part 1:

I started to write today, and then I thought that I didn’t have enough to write about. But then I took another look……
First of all the island is as beautiful as the picture that I showed you at the beginning of this blog.  The water is crystal clear and pristine.
I’ve been here for two days and have set out to discover Providenciales by land. And I have to say it was quite an adventure. We visited the infamous “Da Conch Shack” located in Blue Hills. This beach shack made up of baby blue and pink wood reflecting off the  turquoise water.  Picnic benches and seating in the sand a beautiful place to visit. With that being said, that’s it.
Moving forward in our very compact Nissan March. Because we listened to the GPS, We found ourselves on gravel and stone roads that were endless looking for Long Bay Beach.
Long Bay Beach I was told it, was the best beach for shell collecting and to watch kitesurfers. This too was a major disappoint! There were many kitesurfers but as far as the shells, they were all conch shells that were piled up from when they were harvested none worthy to take home.
On a good note last night there was a local pirate party. (Very fitting for these islands ).  It was my mission to steal a pirate hat from a pirate, but instead I asked if I could have it.  And Believe it or not it was mine! By the end of the night “ I Was A Pirate”! You can’t make this stuff up!
So what I have found out in these last two days, is that this beautiful place revolves around the water. Not a problem for me. My next four days are in and on the water.

The locals are unique in their own way. They call themselves the “Belongers”. Really!  They love their life and where they live. They embrace every day with joy and thoughtfulness. You can see this warmth shown through their smiles.
Be sure to keep following! I’m sure the best has yet to come!
Be Inspired!
