We ventured out to Five Cays to visit the ever so popular Bugaloo’s Beach Shack. And here you can get conch prepared many different ways. They have their own conch pen in the ocean and they keep it alive and bring it in on a small boat and harvest it fresh as they need it.
You sit in the sand and enjoy the afternoon with lunch and cocktails. Bugaloos is located right next to the fishmarket where you can go and find “ Shorty “ to buy a conch shell. I never knew they had so many different kinds!

Graces Cottage
Graces cottage at Grace point and is considered one of the prettiest settings in Provo and the name says it all. Imagine dining under the stars in an English style garden with a gingerbread style cottage surrounding you. Having the marinated heirloom tomatoes with Burrata was an excellent choice also the conch chowder was top notch, so far the best on the island.
Lobster is also another big thing here in Provo, so I decided to have the grilled lobster and in my opinion it was dried out and lacked imagination. The service was on “island time “ but very friendly.
My big day of diving! LOL
Yesterday I went diving. As most of you know I got certified last February to be able to dive in Bora Bora. This is one of the largest Barrier reefs in the world and some of the clearest water you will ever see. I was told it was a must do. With that being said, my last dive before this trip I had a dive “situation” still very fresh in my memory. I was thinking to myself that was probably the last time I would dive.
Than I decided to do it anyway! How can you inspire people if you don’t face your own fears? My diving gear was packed and ready to go!
I finally scheduled my dive day. And yes I still was questioning whether I still wanted to go through with it. On top of the dive incident, I also am a claustrophobic! Every time I get into the water to dive, it is a chalange, till I get down and all the beauty calms me down and I’m fine.
Heading out to the dive site I met this amazing young woman Carolyn. This beautiful young lady with over 100 dives all around the world. The girl that was supposed to be a tennis star is now a adventure diver and an attorney! She was the one inspiring yesterday. Telling me I can do it!
She and my dive master Hillary, I was diving with, were my army that helped me get through the battle.
Luck was not on my side. The first dive the currants were so strong and the water was so rough. I made it into the water and went down but it felt like I was going to be swept away. I had to come back up. There were divers that had to be pulled in because they couldn’t fight the currant. So stoping 3 more times to find a safer place to dive we finally fond one. The question was, do you want to try again?
So I did. Well with my luck that day not with me, I grabbed my go pro and some how it shut down after the one clip I shared wth you.
This gets me very upset, because even though the visibility wasn’t the greatest the wall was amazing! Big and beautiful with huge coral of all colors and types. Giant parrot fish and I also found a lobster.
The average dive on the wall is from 65ft to 150ft. Yes I was worth it!
This just goes to show us inspiration is everywhere! From people we know and even from ones we don’t!
